Summer Heli Ice Climbing
Depart via helicopter from the Knik River Valley and arrive at your location on the Knik Glacier to prepare for ice climbing. No experience is necessary to learn how to ice climb on vertical glacier ice. This is a Half day tour (3-4 hours) and can be paired with any other activity to have a Full day (6-8 hour) tour.

THIS HALF DAY TOUR INCLUDES:
Glacier ice climbing instructor
Water, granola bars/snacks
Crampons, harness, helmets
Ice climbing axes, plastic mountaineering boots, ropes and hardware for top rope climbing.
Top rope glacier ice climbing experience on ice walls
Small guided group ratios 5:1
Tour Details
At the Alaska Glacier Lodge you will be fitted for boots and gear.
Take a flight over the Knik Glacier and land at our ice climbing location.
Your guides will equip you with all of the tools necessary for a successful climb.
Lunch will be provided for any full day tours.
Snacks will be provided for any half day tours.
